Highly recommend for families We spent two wonderful days at Sinchi Warmi. Sofia and the community of women are very welcoming, the place is beautiful . Infrastructure is clean and well equipped (showers, toilets, restaurant and bar). Food was delicious. We stayed with our expedition truck, enough space to park. We highly recommend.

Pet friendly hotel! Excellent place to stay with your dogs, while visiting the Oriente jungle side in Ecuador. It is about 2 hours from Quito, in a city called Misawalli. You can see the monkeys in downtown jumping from branch to branch. Dogs can stay inside or outside the hotel comfortably, and roam around safely. Highly recommend! Great food and service. If you get to downtown Misawalli, walk across the bridge for pedestrians for about 5 min. The hotel entrance is in your left side.

One night stay This place is a little bit of paradise, you dont know what to expect until you arrive at the property. You stay in individual huts, amid the Amazon forest, the Napo river flows nearby, it is a tributary of the Amazon river, there are various boat trips you can do on the river, we went to a Indian village where we were treated to native dancing and you are asked to dance with them. We also got a health treatment from the village Sharman, plus a visit to their little zoo, I got to hold a 2 meter python, very awe inspiring, well worth the visit.

Learn how to do chocolate We went to Sinchi Warme for learning how to do chocolate and it was really nice! You get to know a lot of things about the farming, the origins and about other plants, who have to do with the production - quite interesting! But you should take a lot of insects protection with you!! There are soo many of them, you will regret it otherwise. You produce your own chocolate and can eat it with fruits at the end, what is pretty cool. I would have loved to get the chance to take something with me, as a present at home.

A truly serene and delightful experience Fantastic experience. The community of people that participate in the running of Sinchi Warmi are the nicest, friendliest and helpful people you would ever want to meet. The food and the presentation is delightful. Will go again and recommend this place to all my friends.

Nice place, good price, could be better This is a special hotel. A group of local women own and run the place. They are always at work and on the premises to deal with their customers. Restaurant is quite good. Lots of space, nice tables, good food all at a very very reasonable price. The premises is a little outside of the bridge and you need to take a taxi to go downtown. Fortunately taxi rates are almost "free" here. They also arrange for the river excursion. However I recommend that you need to check the boat before shaking hands. There are plenty of boats available in town; don't rush; don't get the oldest or the least capable. Also, learn the price of the boat trip before hand. I left my review regarding the rooms to the end because I believe this is the weakest link of this hotel. The rooms are located in 2-storey bungalows. Very very basic rooms. This is expected in la selva yet still I believe the rooms could be much better with almost no investment at all. For example, our room didn't even have a mirror. I suppose the mirror was broken but never replaced. With just a little more attention, this could be a great destination. Reasonable rates.

Amazon Adventure We drove here from Quito, which was spectacular! Not having any real expectations in what to expect of this part of the Amazon, we were not disappointed and Sinchi Warmi was a huge part of our Amazon experience. The property has been beautifully built to make you really feel the community and area. Huts, vegetation, the surrounding sounds and wildlife, rustic yet comfortable, this is the place to stay to get a feel of life in the Amazon. Everyone here is warm and helpful. Breakfast was great, as was dinner. Wifi and cell coverage are strong (not sure how I really felt about that, lol) but it helped us plan the couple of days here. The Museo, not far from here, was pretty cool. More of an animal refuge, with educational components. Also, if you have a car, La Jardin, by the ferry crossing on the other side of the river, was a treat for lunch! Highly recommend Sinchi Warmi for your stay in this area!
